Royal Caribbean bet big on Texas: Terminal 10, opened in 2022, was built specifically to handle the line's largest ships, and the company has kept an Oasis class vessel based there ever since, currently alongside a second mid-size ship in season. For the 30 million people within a day's drive, it means the surf simulators, zip lines, ice shows and Central Park neighborhoods that used to require a flight to Florida now sail from an hour south of Houston.
Itineraries are Western Caribbean by geography: Cozumel is on nearly every sailing, joined by Costa Maya, Roatan and Grand Cayman on 7 and 8 night loops. There is no Perfect Day at CocoCay from Galveston, that island sits in the Bahamas, so if the private island is the point, price a Florida departure against it.
