Check datesThe route is the same ocean either way; the decision is logistics and ship. Norwegian from Pier 88 is the subway-accessible classic with the full 7 night format and three docked Bermuda days. Royal Caribbean from Cape Liberty brings bigger hardware, easier driving and parking, and the 5 night version that fits a working week, at the cost of one less island day. New Yorkers without cars lean Manhattan; everyone arriving by car, especially from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and points south, leans Bayonne and banks the difference.
Whichever pier, the Bermuda format detailed in our destination guide holds: the ship is your docked hotel, the pink beaches are a shuttle away, and a $35 transport pass opens the whole island.
Our cruise desk sees agent-only pricing, cancellation returns and unpublished promotions across every major line. Two minutes on the phone regularly beats an hour of tab comparison.
About a day and a half each way: depart afternoon, arrive Bermuda the second morning after. The middle of the itinerary is spent docked at the island.
Norwegian for the carless and the full week; Royal Caribbean for drivers, bigger ships and the 5 night option. The island experience is identical.
Late April through late October, with the last sailings sometimes swapping Bermuda for fall foliage routes. July and August are peak; the edges are the value. Prices checked: August 2026.
